It’s nearly impossible to get bored with the food at Walt Disney World. You can almost always find new snacks that celebrate a holiday, Disney character, or special event. But, it’s not just the snacks that get a refresh every once in a while – it’s also the restaurants!

Over the past few years, Disney has opened several brand new restaurants in the parks and resorts, refreshed the menu and style of others, and even more are on the way soon! And, to be sure that you don’t miss a thing, we’ve got a FULL LIST of all the new places to eat. From snack stands to all-you-can-eat restaurants, and more, here are all the places you’ll want to consider making a dining reservation for the next time you visit Disney World!

New Disney World Restaurants Coming in 2024 and Beyond

Pirate Tavern in Magic Kingdom – Coming in Late 2025

A brand new Pirate-themed tavern is in the works for Magic Kingdom! The lounge will take up residence somewhere in Adventureland and become the new home of Barker Bird who once welcomed guests into the line for the Pirates Of The Caribbean attraction. Disney has shared that it will be a place for both young and old guests to gather to enjoy “grogs and grub.”

The tavern will open in late 2025.

Spaceship Earth Lounge in EPCOT — Coming in Late Spring 2025

Disney announced at the D23 Expo that a new Spaceship Earth-inspired lounge will open at EPCOT in late spring 2025.

The space will feature “rich textures and warm metallic tones” inside and draw inspiration from the iconic geometrical design of the park icon. An exact location and opening date are still TBD.

Ice Cold Hydraulics at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – NOW OPEN!

A brand new snack location his now open in the Muppets Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Located near the Muppet Vision 3D attraction, this spot serves up quick and tasty bites including sticky cinnamon rolls and churros, plus frozen slushies.

The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk – NOW OPEN!!

The famous Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers is now open in Disney World on Disney’s BoardWalk where the former ESPN Club was located! This highly-anticipated restaurant features both a sit-down restaurant and bakery where you can find giant slices of delicious cakes and more.

While the cake is certainly what the restaurant is most known for, there are also savory items on the menu and an afternoon tea offering that can be booked separately.

And, you won’t just be enjoying the food and dessert here – according to Disney, The Cake Bake Shop also brings “a whimsical atmosphere that complements the magic of the idyllic charm of Disney’s BoardWalk that guests know and love.” You’ll just have to see it for yourself!

Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs at Disney’s BoardWalk – NOW OPEN!

You may have heard about the famous corn dogs in Disneyland and now they’re officially in Disney World too! Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs is now open at Disney’s BoardWalk, bringing one of the most iconic Disney snacks to the East Coast.

The menu at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs tends to change seasonally, but you can expect to find some unique creations like a Mexican Street Corn Dog, and Pickle Corn Dogs that are best dipped in peanut butter…just trust us!

New Restaurants at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – Opening Date TBD

The Disney Vacation Club is expanding at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in 2024! Disney is currently putting the finishing touches on an entirely brand new building that will house Disney Vacation Club Villas and that’s not all! Once open, the building will be entirely separate from the main Polynesian Village Resort area and house retail locations, its own pool, and multiple dining options.

So far, Disney has revealed details about one of the new dining options coming to the resort expansion — Wailulu Bar & Grill. This will be a quick service walk-up pool bar and grill open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Disney has not yet revealed more details about what other restaurants we’ll be able to enjoy there or when they may open, but we’re keeping an eye out as construction continues so stay tuned.

New Disney World Restaurants That Opened In 2023

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya at EPCOT

New to EPCOT’s World Showcase is Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya. Located in the Japan Pavilion, the restaurant replaces the former signature restaurant, Tokyo Dining. While the restaurant was once an open-concept floorplan, it now features two distinct dining rooms where you can enjoy views of World Showcase Lagoon or an open sushi kitchen.

The menu at Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya offers an authentic izakaya experience with dishes ranging from sushi and teppan items. Some of the most popular dishes include the Kabore Sushi, the Tokyo Negi Roll, and the Funamori. Basically, if you’re a sushi lover, this is THE place to go in EPCOT!

You can find the restaurant on the second floor of the Japan Pavilion just above the Mitsukoshi Department Store. We suggest making your dining reservation for later in the evening so that you can view the EPCOT fireworks show during your meal.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Roundup Rodeo BBQ is the newest restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios located in Toy Story Land, and it’s quickly become one of the most popular restaurants in Disney World. When you enter, you’ll feel like you’ve shrunk down in size to become an honorary toy in the immersive restaurant. You can also feast on some of the best fare in the park!

Barbeque fare is the specialty here and you’ll be able to eat as much of it as you like thanks to the all-you-can-eat style. The meal begins with fan-favorite scratch-made cheddar biscuits with sweet pepper jelly and a variety of salads. And, then it’s time for the main course where you’ll receive a meat platter filled to the brim with tender pork ribs, smoked brisket, Fire-grilled Pork Sausage, and BBQ chicken. You’ll also get to choose up to four sides including potato salad, fried pickles, mac & cheese, veggie slaw, baked beans, and corn on the cob. And, then top off the meal with one of our desserts. Vegetarian options are also available.

Keep in mind this is not a character meal, but it’s still an immersive experience with fun audio prompts over the speakers that get the entire restaurant involved!

Energy Bytes in Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom is home to some of the very best snacks in all of Disney World and there’s a new snack kiosk to visit now! Energy Bytes opened in Tomorrowland near TRON Lightcycle / Run last year and has been treating guests to unique small bites ever since.

Energy Bytes opens bright and early for breakfast where you can get Chocolate Cake Doughnut Holes topped with mocha sauce and your morning coffee fix with Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee topped with mocha sauce. And, when the day starts to get hot, order up a Watermelon Refresher or Pina Colada Slushy with your doughnut holes to keep you cool.

Rosa Mexicano at Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotel

Looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant in Disney World? Rosa Mexicano located at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotel is the newest arrival wow-ing guests with its fresh take on classic Mexican dishes. While you can find other Rosa Mexicano locations around the U.S., this is the first Orlando-area location for the restaurant.

If you stop by for breakfast you can enjoy made-to-order omelets, scrambled eggs with fresh salsa, bacon, chorizo, fresh fruit, pastries, churro waffles, breakfast burritos, and huevos rancheros. Or, if you’d prefer to dine here for lunch and dinner you can start your meal off with fresh guacamole that’s prepared tableside and then enjoy signature dishes like tacos, pork carnitas, enchiladas, juicy steaks, succulent seafood, and more.

Rosa Mexicano has both a sit-down restaurant and lounge area, so you can either enjoy a full meal or just stop by for their award-winning margaritas and tapas.

Summer House On The Lakes at Disney Springs

Summer House On The Lakes is one of the newest additions to the restaurant line-up at Disney Springs. The restaurant itself is themed to make you feel like you’re entering a beach house with three large patios that offer gorgeous views of Lake Buena Vista.

The menu at Summer House On The Lakes is inspired by California dishes so you can enjoy everything from pizza and pasta to fresh sandwiches and salads. But, it’s not just the food that you should come here for! The restaurant serves an original Summer House Rose along with a variety of handcrafted cocktails and nonalcoholic beverages to compliment your meal.

The Cookie Jar at Disney Springs

Located inside the new Summer House On The Lakes restaurant is The Cookie Jar. This dessert-focused market serves house-made pastries and – as you might guess – fresh-baked cookies. So, if you’re craving a sweet treat in Disney Springs, this is a great place to go!

EET by Maneet Chauhan at Disney Springs

One of the great things about Disney Springs is that you can enjoy several restaurants by award-winning chefs and Food Network stars and now there’s a brand new one!

EET is a new restaurant by Food Network star and James Beard Award-winning chef, Maneet Chauhan alongside hospitality entrepreneur Vivek Deora. The restaurant offers a modern, fun Indian-inspired atmosphere with a menu that is full of new takes on classic Indian cuisine. 

New Disney World Restaurants That Opened In 2022

BoardWalk Deli at Disney’s BoardWalk

In 2022, Disney’s BoardWalk Bakery permanently closed its doors for a new quick-service restaurant to take its place – BoardWalk Deli!

The new spot serves up some of the same favorite bakery items that were previously available at the location, but there’s a whole lot more on the menu now. It’s now a great place to stop for a quick lunch, snack, or dinner where you can enjoy fresh hot and cold deli sandwiches and freshly baked bread.

Carousel Coffee at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

A brand new coffee shop is now open inside Disney’s BoardWalk Inn! Themed to fit right into the boardwalk vibe of the resort, Carousel Coffee is THE place to stop for your morning (or afternoon…or evening) coffee fix.

Here you can order up classic coffees like cappuccinos, lattes, mochas, and americanos or opt for one of their specialty drinks like the Pomegranate-Green Tea Lemonade. And, it’ll be hard to resist trying pastries with things like a Crunchy Raspberry Danish, NJ Crumb Cake, and Vintage Mickey or Minnie Sugar Cookie on the menu.

Salt & Straw at Disney Springs

If you’re a big ice cream fan, you can’t miss Salt & Straw in Disney Springs! The sweet shop has finally made its way to the East Coast after gaining popularity at Disneyland Resort and, believe us when we say, this isn’t your average ice cream.

Salt & Straw has some of the most unique ice cream flavors including things like Honey Lavender and Chocolate Gooey Brownie. And, the menu is always changing here so you’ll always have new flavors to try no matter how many times you visit.

Connections Eatery & Cafe at EPCOT

EPCOT has undergone a lot of changes over the past five years and now there’s a new quick-service spot to eat at – Connections Eatery! This spot is open for lunch and dinner and offers some classic and flavorful dishes that are sure to keep you energized during your park day.

If you’re craving pizza, you can get a slice here. Or, you can opt for one of their signature burgers like the French Bistro Burger. Connections Eatery also has a Hand-breaded Chicken Sandwich on the menu that rivals the Chick-fil-A sandwich! For dessert, order up a shake to cool off from the day or try the Liege Waffle. It is made with brioche dough and topped with pearl sugar, strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce.

While Connections Eatery and Cafe are connected, they’re actually two dining locations with Connections Cafe which is the new home of the Starbucks in the park. You can find all your favorite Starbucks drinks, and even some snacks, here!
