Best Bars For a View

If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax with a nice view, look no further than these three Disney World bars!

Dockside Bar – The Boathouse

Just through the main building of The Boathouse restaurant at Disney Springs are three outdoor bars that don’t require reservations and the Dockside Bar is our favorite! This first-come, first-served pier bar overlooks Lake Buena Vista, with spectacular views of Disney Springs and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. You’ll be in full on vacation mode as you look out on the water for prime views of the Vintage Amphicar Tours and Sassagoula River Cruise boats.

The restaurant’s full food menu is available outside, as well. With an array of Florida-crafted beers, an extensive wine list, and signature cocktails, everyone will find something here. Their most popular cocktail, Duck Duck Razz, is a must-try!

Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago

Hidden over at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is Three Bridges Bar & Grill.

While Three Bridges is a full table service restaurant, a large wrap-around first-come, first-served bar sits right in the middle of the restaurant. Even the restaurant itself is popular for cocktails only, with its star being its house-made Sangria flight!

The restaurant sits on Lago Dorado, connecting all three sections of the resort via wooden converging bridges (hence why it’s name Three Bridges Bar), fountains, and sensational views. Inspired by Spanish-American and Latin cuisine and ambience, the bar gives a relaxing yet vibrant outlet after a long day at the parks.

Only open from 4:30PM to 12AM most days, Three Bridges is a great spot for a late-night drink or a dinner and drinks date night! They do not accept advanced dining reservations, making this a hidden gem for many.

Best Bars at Disney World

Geyser Point Bar & Grill

Similar to the previously talked about Three Bridges Bar & Grill, Geyser Point Bar & Grill is a table service restaurant with bar seating at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Also like Three Bridges, they do not accept advanced dining reservations, resulting in another hidden gem bar.

Shifting gears to the Pacific Northwest, Geyser Point is an al fresco eatery and bar full of rustic beauty with wide-open views of Bay Lake. With a wide selection of Northwest-brewed beers, wine, and handcrafted cocktails, this is an excellent spot for a drink, dinner, or a mid-day park getaway!

Additionally, while we will touch on bars for sports fans later in this article, Geyser Point is a great spot to catch a game. There are a few TVs available for viewing, making it a perfect place to watch some NFL football on a Sunday! However, the view highly outshines its sports availability, which is why we’ve included this category on our list.

And, as a added perk, the Electrical Water Pageant floats right past Geyser Point every night, making it a prime viewing spot at the end of the day after the sun sets!

Best Bars For Entertainment

Entertaining is what Disney World does best, and it’s no different inside their bars and lounges! Here are the most immersive bars to check out on your next trip.

Scat Cat’s Club

Over at Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter you can find Scat Cat’s Club Lounge. This New Orleans Southern-themed bar is home to specialty cocktails, craft beers, an intimate setting, and small bites.

However, the biggest draw to Scat Cat’s Club is its live entertainment! On Thursday through Sunday nights, the lounge hosts nightly live jazz entertainment starting at 7:30PM.

Additionally, Scat Cat’s is home to the famous Disney beignets – you won’t want to skip them!

Oga’s Cantina

Even if you aren’t a Star Wars fan, Oga’s Cantina is still one of the most entertaining bars inside the theme parks. Inspired by the Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars Episode IV—A New Hope, Oga’s Cantina is located on Batuu (a.k.a. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge) at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Among the “locals” it is known as a meeting spot where bounty hunters, smugglers, traders, and travelers can refuel, enjoy music, and rest before their next mission through the galaxy. DJ R-3X, a former star speeder pilot (who long-time Disney fans will recognize from the original Star Tours ride), entertains the cantina, keeping the fun alive.

While the cantina is open for lunch and dinner, it isn’t a spot to plan a full meal. Oga’s Cantina offers mainly unique drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and a handful of snacks.

Advanced reservations through the My Disney Experience app are required, as it can be nearly impossible to get a spot inside without one. Also note that there is a 45 minute time limit per party once inside.

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto

Hidden just off the lobby at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you’ll find one of the best kept secrets in Disney World — Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto.

The highly-themed and immersive lounge is themed as an extension of the Jungle Cruise attraction from Magic Kingdom and is filled with hilarious “skippers” (a.k.a. servers) who serve up delicious tropical drinks with a side of humor. Just be prepared for the tiki bar to come to life in a special way based on what you order!

Trader Sam’s operates on a walk-up waitlist only and advance reservations are not available. And, while the bar is mostly a secret to vacationers, it’s rather small and has garnered enough of a following that there’s usually a line of people waiting to get on the waitlist before it even opens in the late afternoon. So, if this is on your must-do list, be sure to arrive early!

Before 8PM, this is a family-friendly establishment, serving plenty of non-alcoholic mocktails as well! However, after 8PM Trader Sam’s turns into a 21+ only bar.

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

While there may not be actual “live entertainment” here, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs is part of a highly immersive (and fun!) story. The bar is themed after the pilot in Indiana Jones’ Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jock Lindsey, and there are plenty of cool artifacts and memorabilia to seek out as you dine!

While it’s fun to visit this bar any time of year and try all the Indiana Jones-themed drinks and appetizers, it received special holiday overlays for Halloween and Christmas with decorations and a special menu!

Best Bars For Sports Fans

Yes, Disney World is a vacation destination that focuses on immersing guests in its own world. However, that doesn’t mean the outside world stops! And, if you are anything like my family, sports are an EXTREMELY important part of that “outside world.” While there are not many places guests can sit down and watch a sports game throughout Disney World, here are your best options!

City Works Eatery and Pour House

Located on the West Side of Disney Springs is City Works – a.k.a. a sports fan’s dream!

With over 90 beers on tap and 17 big screen televisions throughout the restaurant, this is the spot to go if you don’t want to miss a game. City Works offers indoor and outdoor bar seating, table service seating, and an upscale American cuisine menu.

Though City Works is a restaurant and not specifically “a bar,” the upside of the location’s sports offerings makes the eatery a must-add to our list. However, being one of the few places that guests can sit down and enjoy a game, it does get busy. If you know that watching something like Sunday football is essential to your travel party, be sure to secure a reservation!

Best Bars at Disney World

Splitsville

Splitsville at Disney Springs has a little bit of everything — it’s a restaurant, bowling alley, and bar all in one!

Throughout the restaurant, there are multiple bars, including one on both floors indoors and two outdoors. While the TVs aren’t as large as they are at City Works, there are plenty of spots to pull up a chair and enjoy the game.

The Splitsville menu offers classic bar food as well as enhanced menu items. In fact, some say that Splitsville has some of the best sushi on Disney property, and I agree!

All the bars are first-come, first-served seating, with the upstairs bar being a hidden gem. Not many people know it exists, resulting in it rarely being busy.

Best Bars Inside the Parks

Looking for a drink inside the Disney World theme parks? Check out these top-tier bars!

BaseLine Tap House

BaseLine Tap House is located on Grand Avenue inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios and has become a fan-favorite spot to grab a drink in the park. This brew house offers ample outdoor seating for people-watching, California craft beers, and a small selection of snacks and shareables.

The Bavarian Pretzel is one of the best pretzels at Disney World (sorry to the infamous Mickey pretzel), and the California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate is an excellent shareable bite. Baseline Tap House is a must-do spot for anyone looking to take a break from their feet and relax in a quiet space.

Its main draw is its craft beer selection and laid back vibes, and they will leave you wanting to head back for more!

Hollywood Studios Must Dos

Rose & Crown Pub

Rose & Crown Pub is situated inside the United Kingdom Pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase. This pub is the go-to spot for a quick pint (though, nothing’s truly very “quick” in the Disney crowds)!

There is no seating inside the pub, just a few standing tables as well as a horseshoe standing bar. The authentic British pub is home to lively bartenders and plenty of fun. Though the pub does offer a full bar, Rose & Crown is famous for its pints and whiskey flights. They even serve green beer on St. Patrick’s Day!

Best Bars at Disney World

Nomad Lounge

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to one of the most popular lounges on Disney property — the Nomad Lounge! Tucked next to Tiffin’s restaurant, this lounge is inspired by traveling the world and the adventures of the Imagineers who played a part in designing Animal Kingdom.

Nomad Lounge offers indoor seating, a walk-up bar, and outdoor patio seating. In addition to handcrafted cocktails, beer, and wine, the lounge offers African and Asian inspired small plates for guests to enjoy. Plus, you can even order up the Tiffin’s Bread Service here or try what many agree are the best churros in Disney World here!

Advanced dining reservations are not accepted here, and the walk-up list fills quickly. If Nomad Lounge is on your list, be sure to head here before they open to get your name on the list early. While the lounge opens at 11AM, a Cast Member is usually outside taking names for the waitlist around 10:30AM.

La Cava del Tequila

Calling all tequila enthusiasts! Inside the Mexico Pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase is La Cava del Tequila.

This bar is home to over 200 different tequilas, as well as an assortment of Mexican beers and wines. While there are a few tables inside where guests can enjoy small (and absolutely delicious) bites such as chips, salsa, and guacamole, this is mostly a to-go bar.

La Cava del Tequila is famous for its avocado margaritas, though many different varieties, including seasonal offerings, are always available!

Additionally, La Cava del Tequila also offers a tequila tasting experience that can be booked in advance online or by calling Walt Disney World’s dining reservation line. It’s a great thing to add to your itinerary if you’re on an adults-only trip or celebrating something special.

Best Intimate Bars

If you’re looking for the best spots to grab a drink after dinner, check out these two Disney World spots!

Dahlia Lounge

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort’s Gran Destino Tower is home to the gorgeous rooftop bar, Dahlia Lounge. This sophisticated mingling lounge offers indoor and outdoor lounge seating and stunning views of Walt Disney World, and even a viewing of EPCOT’s nighttime fireworks!

Dahlia Lounge is situated across from Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood, making it the perfect spot for a pre- or post-dinner cocktail. Premium wines and spirits are available here, poured by highly-trained mixologists. I highly recommend the “Create Your Own Old Fashioned.” And, if you’re hungry, a variety of Spanish tapas are available, including sliders, croquetas, calamari, and churros.

Wine Bar George

The Landing at Disney Springs is home to Wine Bar George, a wine lover’s dream and, personally, one of my favorite places! Even if you aren’t a wine connoisseur, Wine Bar George is a great spot for an introduction to wine as well! The restaurant is home to two walk-up bars and a full table service dining experience.

With over 200 wines available by glass, bottle, or by the ounce (my favorite way), there is something for everyone. The servers are well-versed in the menu and able to help you decide what would be a good fit. If you get lucky, you may even have Master Sommelier George Miliotes himself help pick your wines!

Wine Bar George is one of the more adult-oriented spots at Disney Springs, offering a quieter atmosphere than most other restaurants nearby.

Advanced reservations are recommended, though walk-up availability is sometimes available.
