There are plenty of great options for Disney adults to enjoy a romantic date night or weekend getaway. So, get ready to plan your next night out — we’ve compiled a list of our top eight most romantic Disney World restaurants!

Romantic Disney World Restaurants with Firework Viewing

Disney World fireworks are awesome. But, Disney World fireworks as the backdrop to your dinner? Now THAT’S special! As a Disney World local, my husband and I have spent many nights at these restaurants, planning our meals around firework viewing for that extra special moment to conclude the night.

New Year’s Eve at Disney world

Here are our top three Disney restaurant picks if you want dinner with a show!

Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera

Located on the 10th floor of Disney’s Riviera Resort, Topolino’s Terrace is a Signature/Fine-Dining restaurant that offers an exquisite dinner menu and spectacular rooftop views of Walt Disney World. From the rooftop, guests can enjoy high-vantage views of EPCOT’s nighttime spectacular — Luminous: The Symphony of Us.

You may know Topolino’s Terrace as one of the most highly talked about character dining breakfasts at Disney, but come evening, Topolino’s Terrace sets a romantic, elegant, and slow-paced dining experience that can’t be missed.

The dinner menu takes inspiration from the coastal Mediterranean, reflecting both French and Italian influences, just like the resort. The wine list is extensive, and the food menu is modern with an upscale twist. We’ve dined here many times, and some of our favorites are the Filet Mignon and the Chicken Sugo Rigatoni.

The restaurant’s atmosphere is warm and inviting, with marble top counters, gold hues, and pasta-shaped chandeliers.

Though breakfast dining reservations are hard to come by, dinner reservations are slightly easier to secure. You can make reservations for Topolino’s Terrace up to 60 days in advance through the My Disney Experience app.

Narcoossee’s

Described as a “waterfront setting for coastal cuisine with spectacular panoramic views,” Narcoossee’s is a Disney World dining must-do at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Located directly on the Seven Seas Lagoon, this is almost as close as you can get without a park ticket to Magic Kingdom’s nighttime fireworks, Happily Ever After.

Sustainably sourced offerings and local seafood inspire the menu, making it great for couples who love seafood. The atmosphere is a sophisticated nautical theme with some Florida flair. The experience is a large part of dining at Narcoosee’s, and while you’ll still find a few kids here every once in awhile (it is Disney World, after all), it’s generally a very quiet and up-scale atmosphere. This makes it a prime spot for Disney adults!

The Blackened Redfish is the signature dish on the menu, though the shrimp and grits, scallops and gnocchi, and lobster bisque are also delicious highlights. I recommend allotting 1.5 to 2 hours to dine here, at a minimum, depending on how many courses you order.

You can make reservations for Narcoossee’s up to 60 days in advance through the My Disney Experience app.

California Grill

If you research “firework dinner at Disney,” California Grill will likely be one of the first results you see, and for good reason! This signature restaurant sits on the top floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort and even has it’s own dedicated elevator, giving it a highly seclusive feel. Once you step inside, panoramic views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and Cinderella Castle greet you, along with a prime firework viewing spot from every seat!

Plus, while Narcoossee’s and Topolino’s Terrace require you to time your reservation just right, anyone who dines at California Grill can access the exclusive fireworks viewing patio regardless of what time you eat! Just remember to bring your receipt from your meal if you plan on heading back for the view.

When it comes to the eats, California Grill offers a market menu of California cuisine, using seasonal ingredients. Additionally, there is a sommelier on site to educate guests on the extensive California wine options that the restaurant offers.

The menu is a prix fixe menu here, differing from the previous two restaurants on this list.  For $89 per person, or $39 per child ages 3-9, you choose one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert. Popular options are their unique takes on sushi rolls, the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli, the Filet of Beef, and the Blueberry-Goat Cheese Cheesecake.

You can book reservations for California Grill up to 60 days in advance through the My Disney Experience app. Just keep in mind that they fill up fast.

PRO TIP: If you can’t secure a reservation but want to enjoy the fireworks here, test your shot at the first-come, first-served full-service bar!

Romantic Disney World Restaurants Worth the Splurge

Now, it’s never cheap to eat at Disney World, and the restaurants with fireworks views certainly aren’t known for their low-cost. However, some Disney World restaurants go above and beyond, including when it comes to the check.

Here are two expensive Disney World restaurants that are totally worth the splurge if you’re looking for a romantic dinner for a special occasion!

Victoria & Albert’s

Victoria & Albert’s is located on the second floor of the main building at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and it is in a league of its own. This restaurant is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many…if you can get a reservation, that is — there are only fourteen tables within the main dining room!

Victoria & Albert’s is an elegant fine dining experience where you choose from either an 8-course to a 12-course tasting menu handcrafted by its highly awarded chefs. This restaurant requires semi-formal or formal attire, and it does not allow children under 10.

However, this elegant experience doesn’t come cheap. A meal at Victoria & Albert’s starts at $295 per person, running up to $425 per person. Additionally, wine pairings or zero-proof pairings are available for $150 per person and $100 per person, respectively. Menu items can include caviar, toothfish, lamb, cheese varieties, salmon, and more. Though, the chef can tailor the menu to each guest.

Victoria and Albert’s has many prestigious awards and accolades, including having been AAA Five Diamond Award since 2000 AND a MICHELIN Star holder since 2024, among many others.

Victoria & Albert’s is only open Tuesdays through Saturdays and there are only two seating times available each night. You can make dining room reservations through the My Disney Experience app; however, to book the prestigious Chef’s Table, you must call (407) 939-3862 between 10AM and 4PM Eastern Time.

Monsieur Paul

You probably don’t think of the restaurants in the Disney Parks as romantic, but there are some hidden gems and Monsieur Paul is one of them! Located inside the France Pavilion at EPCOT, Monsieur Paul offers sensational views of the World Showcase Lagoon and delicious food.

Similar to Victoria & Albert’s, the restaurant does have an age restriction, allowing guests over 10 years old to dine. However, the dress code is not as strict. This is a fine dining establishment, but Disney does recognize that the restaurant is located within a theme park, so you can get away with dressing down just a little.

Chef Bocuse originally created the restaurant after earning 3 Michelin stars for 53 consecutive years at his renowned Lyon establishment, Auberge du Pont de Collonges.

The prix fixe 8-course meal starts at $195 per person, with additional pairings available. The French restaurant offers items like escargot, snapper, seabass, rack of lamb, French cheese, and a variety of French desserts.

You can make reservations for Monsieur Paul up to 60 days in advance through the My Disney Experience app.

Romantic Disney World Restaurants With a Quiet Atmosphere

Now, don’t get me wrong, any of Disney World’s signature restaurants are going to be removed from the hustle and bustle of the big Disney crowds. However, the restaurants I’ve listed above are well known and well loved, meaning that they are often busy and try to push through many reservations in one evening.

If you’re looking for something even quieter and less rushed, here are my top three favorites!

Flying Fish

Disney’s Boardwalk is home to Flying Fish, a contemporary American restaurant focusing on sustainable seafood and quality beef options.

This signature dining restaurant offers an open-air kitchen so you can watch the chefs create culinary masterpieces in real time. Plus, beautiful hanging chandeliers and black and blue hues set the scene for a sophisticated yet contemporary vibe.

The Flying Fish menu changes and offers a variety of seasonal options, including slow-roasted pork belly, mussels, gazpacho, salmon, Chilean sea bass, organic chicken, New York strip, and more. Desserts include a variety of different mousses, cheesecakes, and more.

This is a great place to dine if you want to keep the romantic festivities going! To round out your date night, head out to the Boardwalk to the Abracadabra Bar for drinks or the Atlantic Dance Hall for a fun night.

Reservations can be made for Flying Fish starting 60 days in advance through the My Disney Experience app.

Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood

On the rooftop of the Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood. This little-known Spanish restaurant specializes in small plates and savory dishes, paired with a large selection of Spanish wines and sensational views. And, it rates pretty high among the culiary experts having been added to the 2023 MICHELIN Guide.

Menu options include charred octopus, pan con tomate, marinated olives, and more for tapas. Entree options include rib-eye, braised chicken, and pork chops, just to name a few. Shareable sides are also available to round out the meals.

Sticking to its Spanish roots, after-dinner coffee options are essential here, and the perfect way to round out the meal! Additionally, before or after your meal, you can head to Dahlia Lounge right across the hall for high-quality cocktails and potential viewing of the EPCOT fireworks show, depending on the weather.

Reservations can be made for Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood starting 60 days in advance through the My Disney Experience app.

Jiko – The Cooking Place

For Disney couples with an adventurous palate, Jiko – The Cooking Place should be high on your list!

Located on the first floor of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House, Jiko is tucked away as one of the best hidden gems in Disney World. Dark woods and red and burnt orange undertones set the atmosphere, making you feel like you’re literally eating in the middle of an African sunset. Plus, floor-to-ceiling windows line one wall of the restaurant, offering views of an outside water feature and a pathway to the safari that you can explore and enjoy before or after your meal.

Cape Town Lounge and Wine Bar is also located at the front of the restaurant and is a great spot to grab a drink before your table is ready!

Jiko is known for its South African cuisine and one of the most extensive South African wine lists in the United States. The main feature inside Jiko is its open kitchen aesthetic, featuring two wood-burning ovens.

The menu features a diverse selection of meat, seafood, and vegetarian specialties that stay true to its African and Indian inspirations. Don’t skip the Braai’d Wild Boar Tenderloin appetizer, and I highly recommend the Moroccan-Spiced Lamb Shank.

Due to its location, dinner reservations through the My Disney Experience app are usually available, but be sure to still plan in advance.
