Breakfast is one of the most popular times to eat at table service restaurants in Disney World, and, truth be told, there aren’t a ton of options for an early morning meal like there are for lunch and dinner. This means that reservations can be hard to get, and your meal might feel rushed. BUT, there’s one Disney World restaurant that most people don’t think about — Trattoria al Forno. We stopped by for breakfast at this underrated restaurant recently to see if it’s worth snagging a reservation on your next Walt Disney World vacation — here’s what we thought!
About Trattoria al Forno
Trattoria al Forno is a casual Italian eatery located at Disney’s BoardWalk. Known for its wood-fired ovens and family-friendly atmosphere, the Boardwalk eatery offers a welcoming and cozy spin on a busy theme park breakfast. It’s also open for dinner service.
The great thing about this restaurant is that it’s located close to the EPCOT International Gateway entrance, making it an ideal place to grab breakfast before a full day in the theme park. And, if you’re staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin, or the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, you’re just steps away!
One important thing to note is that Trattoria al Forno used to offer a Bon Voyage Adventure character breakfast, however, this is no longer available. Now, this restaurant serves a traditional breakfast menu with no characters. While it’s certainly a bummer that you can’t meet Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel, and Flynn Rider here anymore, the nice thing is that it is now one of the more affordable breakfasts in Disney World.

Getting to Trattoria al Forno
Located on Disney’s Boardwalk, Trattoria al Forno has a few transportation options available. However, if you’re not staying within the EPCOT Resort Area, transportation can get tricky.
If you’re staying at any of the resorts located on or near Disney’s BoardWalk, you have the easiest route — just step outside and take a short walk over!
If you’re staying at any of Disney’s Skyliner Resorts, you can hop on the route to EPCOT and walk from the International Gateway Skyliner Station to the BoardWalk where the restaurant is located.
Getting to the restaurant from any other resort or theme park requires a bit more planning. The easiest route is to catch a bus from a Disney World Resort hotel to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or EPCOT. Both parks offer boat transportation to Disney’s BoardWalk, where the restaurant is located. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to walk through EPCOT to get to the International Gateway exit, so you’ll need a theme park ticket.
Additionally, you could take a bus to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn from Disney Springs.
Lastly, you can park a personal vehicle free of charge at the Boardwalk with a dining reservation or use rideshare services such as Uber, Lyft, or Minnie Vans.
Trattoria al Forno Menu
Menu options at Trattoria al Forno may be small in number, but they pack a mighty punch.
The menu features a variety of savory options, including entrees such as buttermilk pancakes, steak and eggs, omelets, and breakfast pizzas. However, lighter fare options are available, including avocado toast, yogurt, and frittatas.

Drinks include standard morning cocktail options like mimosas, bellinis, and bloody marys. You can also find a press pot coffee option, as well as iced coffees, lattes, and non-alcoholic cocktails.
In addition, the kids’ menu options are plentiful, including two eggs, fruit and yogurt, pancakes, waffles, and omelets for them to choose from.

Now let’s get to our FULL REVIEW of breakfast at Trattoria al Forno!
Eats
Our group consisted of five people, so we got to try a good portion of the menu!
Buttermilk Pancake
Starting with the kids’ meal, my son ordered the buttermilk pancake with a scrambled egg and sausage for $9.25. Just by looking at it, you could tell this was not your standard, flat, quick-serve pancake. This was a freshly made, thick, and fluffy pancake, and it tasted just as good as it looked! I’m a firm believer that kids’ meals are one of the best values across Walt Disney World, and this was no different.

Al Forno Eggs
I ordered the Al Forno Eggs, which are brick oven-roasted over-easy eggs atop a bed of polenta with crumbled fennel sausage and a tomato sauce, served with crispy country bread for $17. This is the Trattoria al Forno specialty, and even though I am not the biggest sausage fan, I thought I’d give it a shot. I’m glad I did! It was hearty, generously sized, and well-flavored. The crispy bread was a great touch too. The eggs can be ordered however you’d like, however, I suggest over-easy to experience the essence of the dish fully.

Caprese Omelet
My husband ordered the Caprese Omelet. At $17, it is a classic omelet with mozzarella cheese, basil, and tomatoes, served with bacon, sausage, and potatoes. Our first thought was, “Wow, what a big portion!” At first glance, the omelet looked a little dry; however, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the egg was perfectly cooked. It was fluffy, well-seasoned, with the perfect amount of filling.

Oak-Grilled Steak and Eggs
The table also ordered the Oak-Grilled Steak and Eggs to share, which was $21. This was the best bang for your buck on the menu, no doubt. You can absolutely taste that the steak was grilled over oak flames, and it was a significant portion — tender and perfectly cooked. The steak is served with the egg style of your choosing and Hollandaise sauce, although it could have used a bit more sauce. I’d ask for extra next time.

Breakfast Pizza
Lastly, we ordered the Breakfast Pizza priced at $14. This was the most unique option on the menu, and though it was good, it was the weakest entree of our breakfast. The dough was clearly handmade in the Trattoria’s wood-fired ovens, which gave it a nice taste and crunch, and it was generously sized with a good amount of toppings. However, it was a little dry. The flavors were there, but the dish was missing a sauce or gravy to really complete it.

Overall Trattoria al Forno Review
Overall, Trattoria al Forno is a fantastic, hidden-gem, table service breakfast option in Disney World for those looking to fill up before a full park day, or even start a slow morning with a relaxing, homey, good meal.
You’ll be hard-pressed to find another table service dining option with this level of output at these prices. The value is incredible! There was nothing at our table of five that was bad, though the breakfast pizza did lack a bit. I would go back for those Steak and Eggs every time I’m at Disney World!
Disney’s Boardwalk is not somewhere guests frequent in the mornings, as many of the options there revolve around dinner and nightlife. However, this breakfast is worth making the trip if you’re looking for something less crowded, well-priced, and filling.
