How Much Is Dining At Disney World?
It’s no secret that dining at Disney World can be expensive, but there are a variety of options available to fit different budgets. The cost of dining at Disney World varies depending on the type of restaurant and the meal plan you choose.
In general, quick service restaurants are considered the most budget-friendly option in Disney World. Menus typically consist of burgers, sandwiches, and other fast food options with prices varying around $10-$15 per adult.
Table service restaurants, on the other hand, are the most expensive dining option in the parks and resorts. These restaurants offer a sit-down dining experience that ranges in price from as little as $15 up to $60 per person depending on the restaurant. Character dining experiences and signature/fine dining experiences often cost even more with prices ranging from $50 to $200+.
Disney World also offers a variety of snacks and drinks throughout the parks. Snacks can range from popcorn and pretzels to churros and Dole Whip. Prices for snacks and drinks (including soda, water, and alcoholic beverages) range from $3-$20.
A Note On The Disney Dining Plan
While the cost of dining can be hard to predict before your vacation, Disney has created a simple way to budget for your meals if you’re purchasing a Disney vacation package – the Disney Dining Plan. These plans allow you to pre-pay for your meals and snacks, providing you with a pre-determined number of quick service meals, table service meals, and snack “credits” per person, per day of your trip. Currently, there are two different Disney Dining Plans available with prices ranging between $57 to $95 per adult, per day and from $23 to $30 per child (ages 3 to 9), per day.
While the Disney Dining Plan won’t necessarily save you money on food in Disney World, it does offer a convenient and simple way to pay for your food before you arrive and not have to think about the cost during your vacation.
Special Dietary Needs and Options at Disney World
Disney World is known for its exceptional dining experiences, and, luckily, they make eating at all of their restaurants easy if you have special dietary needs. Whether you have food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions, you can still enjoy delicious meals at Disney World, there are just a few extra steps to follow.
When it comes to dining at a quick service restaurant or snack location in Disney World with specialty dietary needs, you’ll want to speak with a Cast Member before you order if you have any concerns. Most of these locations have allergy menus that they can provide and, if they don’t, the Cast Members have the full nutritional information available in binders at the counter.
When it comes to dining at table service restaurants, on the other hand, you’ll need to indicate any dietary restrictions or allergies when making your dining reservations. You can also email the Special Diets department at SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com or call (407) 824-5967 to discuss your needs. These restaurants will usually provide you with an allergy menu to help you determine what you can and can’t eat or one of Disney World’s highly trained chefs will come to your table to discuss how they can accommodate your dietary requirements.
Special Dietary Options Available at Disney World
- Gluten-free: Many restaurants offer gluten-free options on their menus, including pizza, pasta, and bread. You can also find gluten-free snacks and desserts at various locations throughout the parks.
- Vegetarian and Vegan: Disney World has a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options available, including plant-based burgers, salads, and sandwiches. You can also find vegan snacks and desserts at various locations throughout the parks.
- Kosher: Disney World offers kosher meals at select restaurants. These meals must be ordered in advance, and there may be an additional fee.
- Food Allergies: Disney World can accommodate most food allergies, including nuts, dairy, and shellfish. Chefs will work with you to create a safe and tasty meal that meets your needs.
If you have any additional questions or concerns about dining with a special dietary need, just ask a Cast Member!
Disney World Dining Reservations FAQ
How To Make Disney World Dining Reservations
Making advance dining reservations at Walt Disney World is a simple process. Reservations for any table service restaurant (and select lounges) can be made online on the Walt Disney World website or by using the My Disney Experience app. Or, if you prefer to speak with a Cast Member, you can also call the Disney Dining Reservation Center at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 to make reservations over the phone. Be sure that you keep copies of all your dining reservation confirmation numbers just in case!
When Do Disney World Dining Reservations Open?
Disney World dining reservations open 60 days in advance of your visit for all guests. Disney World hotel guests get a bit of an advantage and can make reservations for the entire length of their stay (of up to 10 days) 60 days in advance of their arrival date. This means that you’ll have less competition for securing a dining reservation at any table service restaurant that you plan to eat at later in your trip!
If you are not staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, you can make reservations up to 60 days in advance for each day of your visit.
Can You Cancel Disney World Dining Reservations?
Yes, you can cancel most Disney World dining reservations up to 2 hours before the reservation time. If you need to cancel a reservation, you can do so online, through the My Disney Experience app, or by calling the Disney Dining Reservation Center. It is important to cancel any reservations you do not plan to use, as failure to show up for a reservation may result in a fee.
For the most up-to-date information about each restaurant’s cancellation policy and fees, please visit Disney’s website.

Disney Dining Plan FAQ
What Is The Disney Dining Plan?
The Disney Dining Plan is a prepaid meal plan offered to guests staying at Disney World Resort hotels as part of a Disney vacation package. Currently, there are two plans available including the Standard Disney Dining Plan and the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan. Each plan allows you to pre-pay for food and beverage purchases at select restaurants throughout the resort and includes a pre-determined number of table service meal credits, quick service meal credits, snack credits, and a resort refillable mug.
How Much Is The Disney World Dining Plan?
The cost of the Disney Dining Plan varies depending on the tier you choose. As of 2024, the Standard Disney Dining Plan costs $94.28 per adult, per day and $29.69 per child (ages 3 to 9), per day, and the Quick Service Dining Plan costs $57.01 per adult, per day, and $23.83 per child (ages 3 to 9), per day. Note that prices are subject to change at any time, so the earlier you purchase, the better.
From time to time, Disney does offer special deals and discounts for Disney Dining Plans. For example, in the past, we’ve seen 50% off kids’ dining plans and even free dining plans when you book a vacation package on specific dates. Be sure to check Disney’s website for any offers before you book, as these can save you a lot of money on dining in Disney World!
Is The Disney World Dining Plan Worth It?
Whether or not the Disney Dining Plan is worth it for you and your family depends on your individual preferences and dining habits. If you plan on eating most of your meals at Disney restaurants and don’t want to have the hassle of grabbing your wallet every time you eat or having to calculate the total cost for your budget, the dining plan can be a good option. However, if you prefer to have more flexibility in where and when you eat throughout your vacation, the dining plan may not be worth the cost. It’s also important to consider the dining plan’s restrictions and limitations, such as the types of restaurants and menu items that are eligible for the plan.
