Discover the best Disney World restaurants for picky eaters! Not everyone is as adventurous as Remy from Ratatouille, right? From chicken nuggets to plain pasta, this guide covers the top spots in every park plus tips for stress-free family dining at Disney.
Disney Dining Made Easy for Picky Eaters
Disney World is one of the most family-friendly destinations on Earth, but that won’t stop you from worrying about what your picky eaters will actually eat while you’re there. If your child lives on chicken nuggets and grilled cheese every night, you’re not alone. Luckily, Disney has a plan for that!
From classic burgers to chicken tenders and pizza slices, there are plenty of restaurants serving simple, familiar meals for even the most selective eaters. In this complete dining guide, we’re covering the best Disney World restaurants for picky eaters, plus practical tips for keeping mealtime stress-free so you can focus on what ride you’re headed to next!

Quick Tips for Feeding Picky Eaters at Disney World
Before we break it down park by park, here are some tips to make dining easier for everyone.
- Browse the menus in advance. The My Disney Experience App shows menus for all restaurants, including available customizations. Knowing what’s on the menu helps you plan around your picky eater’s preferences and identify which restaurants are a skip.
- Use mobile ordering. Most quick service locations throughout the parks and resorts let you order through the My Disney Experience App. You can place an order while waiting in line for a ride and pick it up when you’re ready. This also ensures you know what your picky eater is going to eat ahead of time.
- Request customizations. Disney chefs are happy to help make your plate more appealing for picky eaters. Ask for the pasta without meat sauce, plain grilled chicken, specific vegetables, or whatever else your picky eater wants and they usually can accommodate those requests!
- Bring familiar condiments. If your child loves ranch (don’t we all?!), pack some shelf-stable individual packets just in case a restaurant doesn’t offer it.
- Order from kids’ menus. Kids’ menu options tend to be more basic and budget-friendly. Plus, adults can order from kids’ menus too at most quick service restaurants!
- Consider character dining for distraction. If keeping your child engaged throughout their meal helps them eat, a character dining experience can make dining feel like entertainment. Meeting favorite characters creates excitement that can encourage even reluctant eaters to try their food.
- Bring your own snacks. Disney allows guests to bring food into the parks, so pack trusted favorites as backup.
- Think twice about the Disney Dining Plan. The idea of prepaid dining is enticing, but if most of your party plans to order kids’ meals (note that this is only possible at quick service restaurants) or basic options, the cost of the dining plan might end up being more than you’d pay for meals out of pocket. Run the numbers before committing.

Best Disney World Restaurants for Picky Eaters
Most Disney restaurants offer at least a kids’ menu with familiar options. However, some restaurants are better suited for picky eaters than others. Here’s a park-by-park breakdown of where to find the safest bets.
Best Magic Kingdom Restaurants for Picky Eaters
Magic Kingdom is where you’ll find a large quantity of familiar foods. You won’t find many adventurous dishes here, making it the easiest park for selective eaters. (For more options beyond picky-eater-friendly spots, check out our guide to the best and worst Magic Kingdom restaurants.)

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
Location: Tomorrowland
Type of Meal: Quick Service

Cosmic Ray’s is the go-to spot for picky eaters at Magic Kingdom. The menu features basic burgers, chicken tenders, mac and cheese, and salads. Mobile ordering is available, and there’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Since it’s one of the busiest restaurants in the park, try to dine during off-peak hours or use mobile order to skip the line.
Casey’s Corner
Location: Main Street, U.S.A
Type of Meal: Quick Service

Casey’s Corner is your destination for hot dogs and fries. The menu is simple (though rather limited) with hot dogs served plain or with various toppings. If hot dogs are a safe food for your family, don’t skip this classic spot. Mobile ordering is available, though seating is mostly outdoors.
Pro tip: If you can snag a table during a parade, Casey’s offers a great view of Main Street!
Pinocchio Village Haus
Location: Fantasyland
Type of Meal: Quick Service

Pinocchio Village Haus serves flatbread pizzas, salads, soup, chicken, and even has mac and cheese on the kids’ menu. Pizza options include the classic cheese and pepperoni. Mobile ordering is available, and there’s ample seating both indoors and out.
Pro tip: Head to the second floor and grab a window seat to watch riders on “it’s a small world” float by!
Crystal Palace
Location: Main Street, U.S.A
Type of Meal: Character Dining Buffet

Crystal Palace is the only spot on this list in Magic Kingdom that’s open for breakfast, making it a solid choice if breakfast foods work for your family. Plus, you’ll even get to meet your favorite characters from the Hundred Acre Wood while you dine!
The buffet offers variety for adventurous eaters (like carved meats, shrimp creole, and vegetables) alongside a dedicated kids’ section with chicken, mac and cheese, and pizza. It’s a great option when your party has mixed preferences.
Restaurants to Avoid With Picky Eaters at Magic Kingdom
While all restaurants offer kids’ meals, these spots have menus that may be challenging for selective eaters:
- Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen – This table service restaurant features African and Asian-inspired dishes that may be too adventurous for picky palates.
- Columbia Harbour House – While chicken tenders are available, most of the menu consists of seafood like lobster rolls, salmon, shrimp skewers, and clam chowder.
Best EPCOT Restaurants For Picky Eaters
EPCOT is famous for its global cuisine in the World Showcase, which can be intimidating for picky eaters. The good news is that there are still plenty of safe options if you know where to look!

Connections Eatery
Location: World Celebration
Type of Meal: Quick Service

Before heading into World Showcase, stop at Connections Eatery for familiar favorites, including burgers, pizza slices, fries, chicken tenders, and even a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. There’s plenty of indoor seating, and mobile ordering is available. This is one of the busier spots at EPCOT, so use mobile order or dine during off-peak hours.
Regal Eagle Smokehouse
Location: American Adventure – World Showcase
Type of Meal: Quick Service

Regal Eagle Smokehouse is known for serving some of the best barbecue on Disney property. It’s a great “best of both worlds” option since adventurous eaters can enjoy smoked pork, beef brisket, ribs, and house-made sauces, while picky eaters can stick to mac and cheese, chicken tenders, and burgers. Mobile ordering is available with indoor and outdoor seating. And, BONUS, the outdoor area connects to a walk-up bar for the adults!
Sunshine Seasons
Location: The Land Pavilion
Type of Meal: Quick Service

Located on the bottom level of The Land Pavilion, Sunshine Seasons offers more adventurous entrees like stir-fries and salmon, but the kids’ menu keeps it simple with pizza, flatbreads, mac and cheese, and hot dogs.
Note that mobile ordering is NOT available here. However, it’s a perfect spot to escape the heat or wait with younger kids while the rest of the family rides Soarin’.
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria
Location: Italy Pavilion – World Showcase
Type of Meal: Table Service

Disney World isn’t necessarily known for having the best pizza you’ll ever eat, but Via Napoli is definitely an exception. This table service restaurant in the Italy Pavilion features wood-fired pizzas that range in flavor (and size!). You can get something as simple as a cheese pizza or go all out and pile on the meats. The kids’ menu also includes spaghetti and meatballs, and chicken tenders. If you’re looking for a sit-down meal with picky-eater-approved options, this is a solid choice. (Via Napoli is also on our list of best Disney World restaurants!)
Restaurants to Avoid With Picky Eaters at EPCOT
- Biergarten Restaurant – This buffet in the Germany Pavilion focuses heavily on German fare like sausages, sauerkraut, and spaetzle, which may not appeal to selective eaters.
- Katsura Grill — This quick service spot in the Japan Pavilion offers beautiful views but a limited menu of ramen and teriyaki chicken. Skip it unless those are safe foods for your family.
- Spice Road Table – This tapas-style restaurant in the Morocco Pavilion serves lamb kefta, calamari, and hummus fries, but there’s no kids’ menu.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ
Location: Toy Story Land
Type of Meal: Table Service (All-You-Can-Eat Family Style)

If any theme can get picky eaters excited about a meal, it’s Toy Story! This larger-than-life restaurant is designed to make you feel like you’ve shrunk to toy size and there’s a lot to look at while you’re inside.
The all-you-can-eat platters include ribs, brisket, chicken, and sausage. But here’s the secret for picky eaters: the sides could be a meal on their own! Mac and cheese and tater tots are included and can be refilled. So, even if the main proteins don’t appeal to your picky eaters, the fun atmosphere and unlimited sides make it worth a visit. (This is one of the newest restaurants in Disney World and has quickly become a fan favorite!)
Restaurants to Avoid for Picky Eaters at Hollywood Studios
- Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo – Star Wars fans will love the theming, but the menu features items like tuna poke bowls and unusual preparations that may not appeal to picky eaters.
- 50’s Prime Time Cafe – The comfort food menu her looks appealing, but the interactive atmosphere (where cast members roleplay as strict 1950s relatives) can be intimidating for some children and adults.

Now, it probably won’t be the best pizza you’ll ever have, but if your little one loves pizza, Pizzafari is a reliable option. This quick service spot serves individual pizzas, pastas, and salads, plus mac and cheese for those who aren’t in a pizza mood. Mobile ordering is available with both indoor and outdoor seating.
Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes

This al fresco eatery offers Asian-inspired bites like tikka masala, Korean fried chicken, egg rolls, and pot stickers. Rainforest Cafe

Type of Meal: Table Service

If you’ve been to a Rainforest Cafe anywhere else, you know what to expect. But that familiarity can be a comfort for picky eaters! The extensive menu offers something for everyone, making it perfect for groups with mixed preferences. The kids’ menu includes burgers, hot dogs, dinosaur chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, pizza, and more. A relaxed lunch or dinner here can also provide a nice break from park crowds.
Restaurants to Avoid for Picky Eaters at Animal Kingdom
- Tiffins Restaurant – This signature dining location is excellent for adventurous eaters, but dishes like curry, shrimp, and steak may not appeal to picky eaters.
- Satu’li Canteen – A popular quick service spot with beautiful theming in Pandora — The World of Avatar, but the menu focuses on rice bowls, boba, and blue noodles rather than chicken tenders and pizza.
Best Restaurants Outside the Parks For Picky Eaters
The parks aren’t the only places at Walt Disney World with great dining options! Disney Springs and the resort hotels offer plenty of choices with familiar menu items.
Splitsville Dining Room
Location: Disney Springs
Type of Meal: Table Service

Splitsville at Disney Springs combines a full dining room with a bowling alley, creating one heck of an experience! You can dine while you bowl or just enjoy a casual meal. The extensive menu includes sandwiches, pizzas, burgers, and sushi, and the kids’ menu offers grilled cheese, hot dogs, mac and cheese, pizza, and burgers. It’s a great option when you want entertainment and dining in one stop. (Bonus: Splitsville is one of the best Disney World restaurants you can walk up to without a reservation!)
Chicken Guy!
Location: Disney Springs
Type of Meal: Quick Service
Celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s quick service restaurant in Disney Springs is a popular destination for simple chicken tenders and fries. What makes it fun is that you can customize your meal with a wide variety of dipping sauces. Sides include mac and cheese and coleslaw, and don’t skip the milkshakes!
Chef Mickey’s
Location: Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Type of Meal: Character Dining Buffet (Table Service)

Chef Mickey’s has garnered a reputation for being one of the most popular character dining restaurants in all of Disney World, and, because of that, I tend to recommend making reservations at other character restaurants if you’re looking for that experience. However, Chef Mickey’s still has its time and place, and…well, this is the time!
If you have picky eaters, the buffet format is a huge advantage. Kids can fill up on safe foods like mac and cheese, chicken tenders, pizza, and desserts while having the option to try new things like carved New York strip if they’re feeling brave. Plus, character visits from Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto add magic to the meal.
Resort Quick Service Dining Locations
Every Disney resort has at least one quick service dining spot. While menus vary slightly to match each resort’s theme (think Polynesian-inspired dishes at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort or southern comfort food at Port Orleans), you’ll find constants like pizza, chicken tenders, and burgers at nearly every location. These are convenient options for late-night snacks or low-key meals when you don’t want to venture back to the parks.

Final Thoughts: Stress-Free Disney Dining Is Possible With Picky Eaters
Traveling with picky eaters can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re responsible for making sure everyone eats and stays happy. Luckily, Walt Disney World makes it easier than you might expect.
Most restaurants offer at least a kids’ menu with familiar options, and don’t forget that adults can order off kids’ menus at quick service restaurants too! Whether you’re looking for pizza, chicken fingers, burgers, or mac and cheese, there are plenty of choices throughout the parks and hotels.
The key is planning ahead. Preview menus in the My Disney Experience App, make reservations at table service restaurants that you know work for your family, and don’t be afraid to ask cast members to prepare your meal the way you want it. With a little preparation, you can focus less on mealtime stress and more on your actual vacation. (For even more tips, check out our complete guide to Disney World dining!)
