Easter at Walt Disney World may not have an as egg-stravagent holiday overlay as the big ones like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, but there are still some festivities, treats, and decorations to get you in a hoppy mood. One big part of the Easter festivities is missing here, though – the crowds. It’s important to know ahead of time that March and April are some of the busiest times of the year at Walt Disney World!Β
In this guide, weβre sharing everything you need to know about navigating Easter at Disney World in 2026, from crowds and queues to eats and decorations.Β

When Is Easter Season at Disney World?
This year, Easter falls on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Although, Easter βseasonβ can fall anywhere from a week before to a week after.
Central Florida spring break falls in mid-March this year, eliminating local spring break crowds during Easter week, which helps! However, thereβs still the rest of the country to consider. Typically, the week leading up to Easter is the busiest, as many schools and jobs have Good Friday off.
Guests wonβt find Easter decorations and festivities lasting very long in Disney World, unlike those of other holidays. Still, EPCOTβs International Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing, embracing everything spring.

2026 Disney World Easter Experiences
While Disney Easter events and timelines do fluctuate a bit, there are some standard experiences that occur year after year throughout the parks and resorts. Here’s what you can expect in 2026.
Egg-Stravaganza Scavenger Hunt
Confirmed for 2026, head to EPCOT for a family fun activity, the Egg-Stravaganza Scavenger Hunt. Guests can purchase a map and corresponding sticker sheet for $11.99 at multiple locations throughout the park. Then, head to the World Showcase to find the Disney rabbit-themed Easter eggs throughout the countries.Β
Once you complete the map, redeem your prize at one of the following locations: World Traveler, Creations Shop, Gateway Gifts, or Disney Traders. Now, you donβt have to complete the map to redeem your prize, but itβs more fun that way! Plus, itβs a great activity to keep the littles engaged while the adults snack their way around the Flower and Garden Festival.

Easter Bunny Meet and Greets
In past years, Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny have been available for meet-and-greets at Magic Kingdom only during the week prior to Easter, with Easter being the final day. Typically, the greetings are held in the Liberty Square gazebo, directly behind the Christmas Shoppe.Β
Meeting times vary, though Iβd venture to guess it will be roughly between 9 AM and 5 PM.

Disney Easter Egg Resort Displays
Select Disney Deluxe Resorts offer chocolate Easter egg displays for guests to view, similar to the gingerbread displays at Christmas time! Disney World pastry chefs are hard at work creating edible, large-scale, Easter-inspired eggs and displays of many different Disney characters, movie scenes, parks, and more.
Previously, the largest Easter display was at Disneyβs Grand Floridian Resort, in the form of the Grand Cottage, a free-standing cottage set up in the resort lobby, selling classic Easter treats – with a Disney twist! However, as of mid-March 2026, the cottage is not up yet. And cast members are giving conflicting answers on whether it is cancelled for the year or just delayed. Instead, egg displays can be found in glass displays around the resort.
Additional Easter egg displays can be found at:
- Disneyβs Beach Club Resort
- Disneyβs Yacht Club Resort
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Easter Sunday Festival of Fantasy Parade
Again, no official announcement has been made yet; however, I canβt remember a year when they didnβt hold an Easter cavalcade prior to Magic Kingdomβs Festival of Fantasy Parade. Cast members put on their Easter bonnets, the Easter bunny makes an appearance, and special songs are played!
The pre-parade cavalcade is typically held on Saturday and Sunday of Easter weekend, so you wonβt see it all week. With its limited availability comes crowds. If you want a good view, be sure to snag a spot 45-60 minutes before start time.

Other Easter Extras
In addition to the scheduled activities Disney World offers for Easter, special merchandise and treats can be found at various locations throughout the resort. Religious services are usually held in conference rooms at Disneyβs Contemporary Resort as well.
Many locations throughout Walt Disney World offer Sunday brunch year-round. Additionally, signature dining locations are perfect for special occasions. Regardless of where you’d like to enjoy a meal on Easter Sunday, be sure to secure reservations ASAP.Β
Pro tip: Select Disney Springs restaurants also have reservations available through OpenTable. If you can’t snag a reservation through the My Disney Experience app, check OpenTable!
Additionally, Disney’s Swan and Dolphin are hosting activities on Easter in 2026, including egg hunts on White Sand Beach, a visit from the Easter Bunny himself, arts & crafts, games, and live music at the Grotto Pool.

Which Disney World Park Is Best for Easter?
If youβre at Disney World for a holiday, youβre all in. No one is leaving the parks to head to church or to find an off-property spot for Easter dinner. Instead, embrace the Disney Parks experience!Β
So, which Disney World park is best for Easter? Best park is subjective, but if youβre looking for the most βEaster-themedβ park, the go-to is Magic Kingdom. With the exception of the scavenger hunt at EPCOT, no other parks do anything special for Easter.Β
If youβre looking for the best park to head to on Easter to avoid crowds, head to Animal Kingdom.

How to Navigate the Easter Crowds
All four parks will be crowded during Easter week. Here are some tips to help navigate crowds and still enjoy your trip even during one of the busiest weeks of the year. Though, my number one tip is: pack your patience!Β
- Use rope-drop strategies β arrive 45β60 min before park opening
- Purchase Lightning Lanes to ensure lower wait times
- Take mid-day breaks – early mornings and late nights are not as busy
- Donβt leave directly after the fireworks
- Save your shopping for later in the day
- Bring snacks to hold you over in line
- Use the single rider line if possible
- Utilize mobile order through the My Disney Experience app
- Ride popular attractions during parades/fireworks for lower wait times
