Atmosphere & Theming
In the morning hours, Topolinos Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera is a fun, vibrant character breakfast experience with a prix-fixe menu. Throughout your meal, you’ll meet Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, and Donald in their artsy outfits! There is Ballet Daisy, Poet Minnie, Sculptor Donald, and the famous Artist Mickey Mouse.
The restaurant is located on the top floor of Disney’s Riviera Resort and has the entire floor dedicated to the restaurant. So, all you have to do is step off the elevator and, BOOM, you’re at the check-in desk!

Inside the restaurant, dark wood and floor-to-ceiling windows line the main dining room, while wine coolers and handmade pasta sit behind the glass of the waiting area. Pasta-shaped chandeliers and marble bar tops contribute to the restaurant’s elegant setting. Don’t let Topolino’s Terrace’s upscale vibes fool you, though. It’s one of the most interactive character breakfasts in Disney World!

Additionally, an outdoor rooftop terrace provides stunning views of EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Disney Skyliner!
Advanced reservations are highly recommended through the My Disney Experience App. A breakfast reservation is one of the most coveted reservations in all of Disney World, making it hard to get, even 60 days out! If you know that you want to eat here during your vacation, be sure to set an alarm for when your dining reservation window opens at 6AM EST 60 days before your check-in date!

Getting to Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera
While restaurants at Disney World Resorts can be harder to get to compared to those in the theme parks, Topolino’s Terrace breakfast is one of the easier places to go!
If you’re already staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort, then you have it easy — just take the elevator up to the top floor. However, if you’re staying at a different Disney Resort or coming from a theme park, you’ll need to utilize one of the following to get to Disney’s Riviera Resort:
- Disney Skyliner
- Disney Bus
- Your Own Vehicle
- Ride Share
The Disney Skyliner is best for those traveling from EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or the Disney BoardWalk. Whereas, bus transportation is preferable if you’re coming from Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, or Disney Springs.
And, if you want to take all of the transportation struggles out of the mix, just drive your own car or use a ride-share service like Lyft, Uber, or Disney Minnie Vans. Parking at Disney’s Riviera Resort is free for those arriving within two hours of a confirmed dining reservation.

Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera Menu
Unlike other character dining breakfasts at Walt Disney World, Topolino’s Terrace is a prix-fixe menu, not an all-you-can-eat meal. The meal includes a variety of pastries and a choice of one of nine offered entrees. Additionally, the menu price includes water, juice, and freshly brewed Joffrey’s Coffee.
Entree offerings include standard American breakfast options like two eggs any style and Eggs Benedict, to upscale brunch offerings including steak and eggs, quiches, and avocado and salmon toast. Additional breakfast drinks, such as Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and specialty coffees, are also available for an extra charge.

Eats
Every breakfast meal at Topolino’s Terrace starts with their version of a “bread service.” This bread service is more like a “pasty service,” though, with a dish full of assorted pastries, including chocolate chip muffins and croissants, served with honey butter, house-made jam, and a chocolate hazelnut mousse.

We really liked this start to our meal and ate up the fresh pastries and flaky croissants quickly. We also LOVED the three dipping sauces and simply couldn’t choose a favorite.
Entrees
Then it was time for the breakfast feast! We ordered the French Toast, Wood-Fired Steak and Eggs, the Eggs Benedict Florentine, Sour Cream Waffle, and a kids’ Mickey-shaped Waffle Dippers. Here’s what we thought!
French Toast
The first entrée up was the French Toast. This is a French toast bread pudding, topped with seasonal compote, lavender-maple syrup, and lemon mascarpone with a choice of bacon, sausage, ham, or plant-based sausage. I opted for the ham.

The three pieces of French toast were large, the compote was blackberry, and blended really well. It wasn’t overly sweet, which is a concern with many French toast dishes, but this one delivered! The side of ham was standard country ham. I enjoyed it, though it was slightly on the drier side.
Wood-Fired Steak and Eggs
Next was the Wood-Fired Steak and Eggs. This came with wood-fired steak on top of creamy polenta, topped with Pomodoraccio tomatoes and wild mushroom conserva, served with roasted potatoes and two eggs any style. Our choice of eggs was scrambled.

And, WOW! This dish was the winner of the morning. Not only is it the best value on the menu, but it was also delicious! The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was tender. You could taste the wood-fired technique, but it wasn’t overly smoky. Additionally, the polenta was smooth, and the eggs were fluffy.
Eggs Benedict Florentine
Also ordered was the Eggs Benedict Florentine, a classic eggs benedict served on an English muffin with hollandaise, creamed spinach, roasted potatoes, and a field greens salad with a lemon vinaigrette. This is one of the lighter options on the menu, but it’s still heavy in flavor!

The field greens salad portion was huge, the eggs were poached perfectly, and they were topped with the right amount of hollandaise sauce. The roasted potatoes were classic roasted baby potatoes, though I thought they could have used a bit more salt.
Sour Cream Waffle
The Sour Cream Waffle came topped with roasted apples and Chantilly and served with an orange-maple syrup. We all took a few bites and agreed it was fantastic! The waffle was light and fluffy, yet filling. The syrup was not overly citrusy, but brought a bright element to balance out the sugary syrup.

We had asked our server for a side portion of the Sour Cream Waffle, so we only had the waffle; however, it is traditionally served with a choice of smoked bacon, ham, sausage, or plant-based sausage. It’s important to note that Cast Members won’t always be able to provide an additional entree on the side with your meal here, but in our experience, it’s worth asking — just don’t count on it!
Kids’ Mickey-Shaped Waffle Dippers
Lastly, the kids’ meal! Our son chose the Mickey-shaped Waffle Dippers that come with two sides (he got scrambled eggs and sausage). The Mickey waffle dippers are served in a fun, kid-friendly way and come with three sauces: caramel, strawberry, and chocolate sauce.

This artist’s plate was a fun way to get kids engaged in their meal and tied in well with the overall breakfast theme. The plate was a good portion, though the waffles were just standard Mickey waffles.
Drinks
The price of the meal includes a choice of juice and coffee, though there are some additional options as well.
We opted to add the specialty Joffrey’s Riviera Resort Blend French Press coffee, which served two. The coffee came to the table in a press pot with two coffee mugs and cream.

I’ll admit, I am not the biggest fan of Joffrey’s coffee in general (which is why we purchased the elevated coffee option); however, this was good coffee! The dark roast blend was smooth and slightly sweet. I’d order it again.
Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera Character Interactions
Now, for the reason you’re probably thinking about eating here to begin with — the characters!
I would describe the Breakfast a la Art experience as calm, fun, yet luxurious. The atmosphere offers a more upscale experience, while the pace of the breakfast provides a calm and laid-back vibe.
Roughly once an hour, the characters come out to a fanfare of song and dance, incorporating the characters in the experience instead of rushing out just to turn tables. Additionally, our character interactions here were longer than any interactions I’ve had elsewhere in Disney World. We had three kids (all four years old and under) and every one of them wanted their picture and their turn with Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, and Donald. That’s usually a lot for character restaurants to handle! However, we never once felt rushed, and each character was friendly, playful, and happy to engage with both the kids and adults at the table.
Our server even overheard my son tell me he had forgotten to tell Donald something, and surprised him by bringing Donald back to talk to him! This is something that probably wouldn’t happen at a busy, hectic character experience such as Chef Mickey’s or ‘Ohana.
We also loved their outfits, and this is the only place you can see them in their artsy best! Plus, every table receives a cute postcard signed by the gang as a little souvenir to take home.

Overall Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera Review
So, is Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends worth the splurge, even though it’s not all you can eat? I’d say absolutely, yes! Topolino’s Terrace really prioritizes quality over quantity. The Wood-fired Steak and Eggs are an absolute must-order if you enjoy steak entrees.
The food is exceptional, not only in taste but also in portion and presentation. The character interactions are some of the best in the business, with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy all taking their time with each guest, incorporating fun, and really proving their value.
Sure, it’s expensive. If you aren’t interested in characters, this isn’t somewhere I’d frequent for $52 per adult for an order of French Toast. However, if you’re not a fan of the chaotic, loud, character buffets, but you still want the character experience, I would choose Topolino’s Terrace happily every time.
