Disney World Events in June
June in Disney World is full of events and limited-time experiences that can make your summer vacation even better! If you’re traveling at the beginning of June, be sure to prioritize a day in EPCOT, as the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will officially end after June 2nd. But, don’t worry if you’re visiting a little later in the month, there are still plenty of other things to keep you busy, including After Hours events at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. These events require the purchase of a separate ticket and give you an extra three hours in the theme parks without the crowds.
And, while Father’s Day isn’t a huge holiday to celebrate in the parks, there are usually some limited-time snacks and drinks available to celebrate. So keep an eye out for any new menu items at dining locations!

Here’s a look at what you can look forward to during your visit in June 2025:
- EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival: March 5th to June 2nd, 2025
- Cool Kid Summer: May 27th through September 1st, 2025
- Disney After Hours at Hollywood Studios: June 4th,11th, and 25th, 2025
- Disney H2O Glow After Hours at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon: June 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th, 2025
- Disney After Hours at EPCOT: June 19th and 26th, 2025
- The Ripken Experience: June 8th to July 11th, 2025
- Father’s Day: June 15th, 2025
Be sure to check Disney’s theme park hours to see how/if any of these events will impact your park day plans.
June Disney World Crowds
June marks the start of summer break for many schools across the country, which means you can expect a noticeable uptick in crowds at Disney World, especially as the month goes on. While early June tends to be a little lighter, mid- to late June sees heavier attendance as families kick off their summer vacations. That means longer lines for popular attractions, busier quick service locations, and more packed walkways, especially in the afternoons.
The good news is that, with a little planning, you can still have a smooth (and magical!) park day. If you’re staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, take full advantage of Early Theme Park Entry to get a head start on the day’s most popular rides before the majority of guests arrive. Arriving before park opening and staying late not only helps you beat the biggest crowds, but also lets you avoid the hottest hours of the day. And if you’re looking for a more laid-back experience, consider purchasing tickets to one of Disney’s After Hours events, which allow you to enjoy the parks with significantly lower wait times once the sun goes down and most guests have gone home.

Should You Purchase Lightning Lane Services?
If you’re visiting Disney World in June, Lightning Lane services can absolutely be worth the splurge, especially with summer crowds in full swing. With wait times climbing quickly throughout the day, having Lightning Lane Multi Pass can help you skip the standby lines at several top attractions, saving you hours across your trip. For rides not included in Multi Pass, you can use Single Pass to reserve access to some of the most in-demand experiences like TRON Lightcycle / Run or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. And if you’re looking to go all in, Premier Pass lets you bundle both options for the ultimate convenience.
That said, these services aren’t cheap, and prices vary depending on crowd levels and demand. Be sure to budget for them in advance, or consider only using them at parks with the longest wait times, like Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. Strategic planning can go a long way toward helping you get the most out of your Lightning Lane purchases without overextending your budget.

Disney World Weather in June
June in Disney World means hot, humid, and often stormy weather. Daytime highs usually hover in the upper 80s to low 90s, with high humidity making it feel even warmer. Afternoon thunderstorms are an almost daily occurrence, so it’s a good idea to plan for a midday break or be ready to duck into a shop or indoor attraction when the skies open up. The rain usually doesn’t last long, but when it comes, it pours.
To stay comfortable, pack light, breathable clothing (think moisture-wicking shirts, shorts, and comfy walking shoes that can handle a surprise shower or two). Don’t forget a compact poncho or rain jacket, a refillable water bottle, and sunscreen you’ll actually want to reapply. Portable fans or cooling towels can also make a big difference in the heat. And if you’re traveling with kids, bringing a backup outfit in your park bag can save the day after a rainy splash or sweaty afternoon.

Disney World Water Parks in June
For the first time since 2020, both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are open for summer, making June an awesome time to cool off at Disney’s water parks. With daily hours from 10AM to 6PM (unless otherwise noted), these parks offer a much-needed break from the heat and a more laid-back way to enjoy the day, floating down a lazy river and tackling some of the best water slides in Florida.
And, if you’re staying at a Disney World Resort hotel, don’t forget that you get free water park admission on the day of your check-in! This is a great way to kick off your vacation without needing to pay extra for a theme park ticket. It’s especially convenient for guests arriving mid-morning or early afternoon, as it gives you a relaxing and fun start to your trip while still soaking in that Disney atmosphere. Just don’t forget your swimsuit, flip-flops, and sunscreen—you’ll want all three!

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can see not one, but TWO new live musicals that recently opened, including The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. And, if you’re traveling with little ones, you’ll want to be sure to stop by Animation Courtyard for Disney’s “Cool Kid Summer” offerings. These dance parties with a live DJ and games are also being hosted at Magic Kingdom (in Storybook Circus with Pluto and Tomorrowland with Stitch), EPCOT (at CommuniCore Hall with Goofy), and Disney’s Animal Kingdom (at Rafiki’s Planet Watch and Discovery Island).
For those who are visiting Disney without kids, you’ll have the chance to be one of the first to experience a brand new adults-only lounge in EPCOT, GEO-81. This all-new lounge themed after Spaceship Earth opens on June 4th. Be sure to grab a dining reservation, though, as this spot is expected to be popular!
