Best Magic Kingdom Restaurants

Liberty Tree Tavern: Best Table Service Restaurant

If you are looking for a hearty meal to fill you up for a full day in the park, Liberty Tree Tavern is the perfect spot for you. While it’s certainly one of the more underrated spots in Magic Kingdom, it earns its best table service restaurant title thanks to the fact that you can get a lot of good food for a great price.

The restaurant is known for serving a full Thanksgiving-style prix fixe meal that will leave you feeling satisfied. You’ll start off with salads, move to all the holiday classics like roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and mac and cheese, and then finish off with Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake. So, there’s a pretty good chance that everyone in your party will find something they’ll like here!

All in all, the food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Just be sure that you make an advance dining reservation as same-day reservations can be hard to come by!

Columbia Harbour House: Best Quick Service Restaurant

If you’re looking for a quicker meal in Magic Kingdom, Columbia Harbour House is the place to go. This quick service restaurant serves up seafood and New England-style favorites that are sure to please any palate. Plus, the portions are pretty big, so you won’t leave feeling hungry.

The menu at Columbia Harbour House is varied and offers something for everyone. From fish and chips to lobster rolls, there’s no shortage of seafood options. If seafood isn’t your thing, you can also find chicken nuggets, salads, and vegetarian chili.

One of the best things about Columbia Harbour House (aside from the food) is that it’s a quieter spot in the park, making it a great escape from the crowds. You can take a break from the hustle and bustle of the park and enjoy a delicious meal in a peaceful atmosphere. Plus, Columbia Harbour House is also a good value with reasonable prices, especially considering the portion sizes and quality of the food.

Casey’s Corner: Best Overall Value Restaurant

If you’re looking for a delicious meal that won’t break the bank, head to Casey’s Corner on Main Street, U.S.A. This Magic Kingdom restaurant is a fan-favorite among Disney-goers and is known for serving up some of the best hot dogs and fries in the park. And, one of the best things about Casey’s Corner is the generous portion sizes. The foot-long hot dogs (served with fries) are huge, making it easy to share between two adults.

In addition to the hot dogs and fries, Casey’s Corner also offers a variety of sides to choose from including mac and cheese, corn dog nuggets, and apple slices making it easy to add an extra side to your meal if you’re splitting with someone or customize your meal a bit more.

The Crystal Palace: Best Character Dining Restaurant

If you’re looking for the chance to meet some Disney characters during your meal in Magic Kingdom, The Crystal Palace is a must-visit. This restaurant is beautifully themed with Victorian-style architecture and a stunning glass atrium. Plus, it’s located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., offering up a gorgeous view of Cinderella Castle.

The food here is served buffet style, and the selection is quite impressive. You’ll find traditional breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, and Churro Mickey waffles, as well as a variety of lunch and dinner options like fried chicken and gravy and ravioli. And, while you eat, you’ll be greeted by Winnie the Pooh and all his friends from the Hundred Acre Woods. They visit each table for photos and autographs, making your meal a little more special.

Compared to other character restaurants in Magic Kingdom, The Crystal Palace can be slightly easier to get a reservation. However, it’s still recommended to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Cinderella’s Royal Table: Best for Disney Princess Fans

Prefer to meet Disney Princesses instead? Cinderella’s Royal Table is the place to eat! This is the only Disney Princess character meal in the park, and it’s located inside Cinderella Castle, making it one of the most popular table service restaurants in Magic Kingdom.

The prix fixe menu here is a bit more limited but there’s still something that almost anyone would enjoy (yes, even your pickiest eaters!). However, the real draw of Cinderella’s Royal Table is the character experience. You’ll get to meet and interact with some of your favorite Disney Princesses, including Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White, and Jasmine. They’ll come to your table, take photos with you, and sign autographs.

It’s important to note that Cinderella’s Royal Table is one of the most expensive restaurants in Magic Kingdom, but for Disney Princess fans, it’s worth the splurge. Keep in mind that reservations are hard to come by, so be sure to book well in advance.

Sleepy Hollow: Best for a Snack

When you’re in the mood for a quick bite to hold you over to your next meal, Sleepy Hollow is the perfect place to go. This quick service restaurant offers a limited menu, but what they do have is absolutely delicious.

The biggest standout on the menu? It’s got to be the Mickey waffles! They are so good that you won’t want to pass them by. If you’re in the mood for something savory, order the Mickey Waffle with Sweet-and-Spicy Maple Chicken. Or, go for the Mickey Waffle with Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread, Bananas, Berries, and Whipped Cream if you’d prefer something sweet.

Sleepy Hollow also offers funnel cakes, churros, and other sweet treats. So, it can also be a good place to stop if you just want a treat.

Aloha Isle: Best for a Treat

The king of sweet treats in Magic Kingdom is Dole Whip and you’ll only be able to get it at Aloha Isle. This quick service restaurant is the permanent home of the famous pineapple soft-serve that is a must-try for any Disney fan.

Aloha Isle offers a variety of Dole Whip flavors, including the classic pineapple, orange, and vanilla swirl, as well as seasonal flavors like raspberry and lime. You can enjoy your Dole Whip in a cup or a cone, or even as part of a float with pineapple juice.

In addition to the classic Dole Whip creations, Aloha Isle also offers other tasty treats like the Pineapple Upside Down Cake, a moist and flavorful cake topped with caramelized pineapple and whipped cream. And if you’re looking for a healthier option, you can try the fresh-cut pineapple spears.

Worst Magic Kingdom Restaurants

Tony’s Town Square: Worst Table Service Restaurant

If you’re looking for an Italian dining experience in Magic Kingdom, Tony’s Town Square might catch your eye. However, you might end up walking away disappointed.

Tony’s Town Square serves basic Italian cuisine that is not always up to par with the ambiance of the restaurant. While the dining room has a romantic charm inspired by Lady and the Tramp, the menu is a bit more basic compared to other restaurants in the park. That being said, the food here isn’t all that bad and it can be a great option if you’ve got picky eaters in your party who just want the basics.

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe: Worst Quick Service Restaurant

If you’re looking for a meal on the go in Magic Kingdom, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe might be on your list of options. However, there’s a reason that people who frequent Disney World often skip this quick service restaurant.

The menu is pretty underwhelming here with standard American fare like burgers, hot dogs, and chicken available. But perhaps the biggest issue with Cosmic Ray’s is the crowds. It’s consistently one of the most crowded restaurants in all of Disney World. This means that finding a table can be a real challenge. And, even if you do manage to snag a spot, you’ll likely be surrounded by noisy crowds and chaos.

Be Our Guest: Worst Character Dining Restaurant

If you’re looking for a character dining experience at Magic Kingdom, Be Our Guest might not be the best option. Technically speaking, it is not even considered a character dining restaurant. The characters don’t come table to table to meet guests, and the only character you will see is The Beast, who makes a quick appearance in each dining room at some point throughout your meal to wave.

While Be Our Guest does serve some “finer dining” food, the character experience is lacking compared to other character dining options at Magic Kingdom. If you are looking for a more immersive character dining experience, Cinderella’s Royal Table or The Crystal Palace might be a better choice depending on what characters you’d like to meet.

Cinderella’s Royal Table: Worst Overall Value Restaurant

If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s both magical and regal, Cinderella’s Royal Table might seem like the perfect choice. After all, who wouldn’t want to dine inside Cinderella Castle? However, with prices starting at $65 per adult and $39 per child for breakfast, and $79 per adult and $47 per child for lunch or dinner, you might want to think twice before booking a table.

While the food at Cinderella’s Royal Table is decent, you’re mainly paying for the location and the character interactions. The menu is fairly standard, with options like steak, chicken, and fish, but nothing particularly stands out.

Plus, with the high prices, you might expect a more upscale dining experience. However, the restaurant can be quite noisy and cramped, which can detract from the overall atmosphere. So, if eating with Disney Princesses isn’t on your must-do list, you might want to consider other restaurants at Magic Kingdom that offer better value for your money.

Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen: Worst for Picky Eaters

If you’re a picky eater, it might be wise to avoid making a reservation at Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. The restaurant itself is themed as an extension of the Jungle Cruise ride (which is also located in Magic Kingdom). So, you can expect your meal to come with a side of puns and humor from your server. However, the fun atmosphere might not be enough of a draw for picky eaters.

best & worst magic kingdom restaurants

Sticking with the Jungle Cruise “adventure” theme, the menu is full of adventurous eats, such as falafel, curried vegetable stew, and “Hardy Har Char Siu Pork.” Picky eaters won’t be totally stranded here. There are a couple of more approachable menu items, such as fried rice and fried chicken. But, the options are far more limited compared to other restaurants in Magic Kingdom.

Pinocchio Village Haus: Most Crowded

Looking for a place to eat where you can escape the crowds in Magic Kingdom? Keep Pinocchio Village Haus off your must-try list! This quick service restaurant is known for drawing in a huge number of guests at all times of the day thanks to its prime location in Fantasyland. You also won’t be missing out on much if you skip this spot. The menu is limited and the food quality isn’t always up to par with other places in the park.
