The Disney Cruise Line fleet is massively expanding! Currently, Disney has five ships in the fleet with four more in the works right now and another four announced to be coming soon after. With all that growth, it’s projected that the number of Disney cruise ships will more than double by 2031! If you’re thinking about a Disney cruise right now, you’re probably wondering what ship you should book. Here’s what you need to know about the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship which will debut in 2025!
Overview of the Disney Destiny
The Disney Destiny Cruise Ship will join the Disney Cruise Line fleet as the third Wish Class ship following the Disney Wish (which debuted in July 2022) and the Disney Treasure (which debuts in December 2024). The new Disney Destiny is set to take its maiden voyage on November 20th, 2025 sailing out of Port Canaveral.
Itineraries
When the Disney Destiny first debuts, it will offer four and five-night cruise itineraries to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean. Depending on what voyage you book, it will include stops at Nassau, Bahamas, or Cozumel, Mexico. Plus, it will also stop at one or both of Disney’s private islands, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
All of the voyages will sail from Port Canaveral in Florida.
Theming
The Disney Destiny features a first-of-its-kind theming drawing inspiration from Disney’s iconic Heroes and Villains. According to Disney, you’ll find characters from fan-favorite movies and shows including The Lion King, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and Hercules. Plus, you’ll even stumble upon spaces inspired by Marvel characters and Disney Park attractions.
And, of course, Minnie Mouse will be getting in on the superhero action and will be found on the filigree artwork in a heroic new look that’s never been seen before.
The Grand Hall
Disney Cruise Line ships are known for having some of the most decadent spaces, and The Grand Hall on the Disney Destiny will be no different! The atrium design will feature a signature sculpture of King T’Challa from The Black Panther. The rest of the space draws design details from Wakanda and the Black Panther films including a “Vibranium”-inspired chandelier that will “generate show-stopping effects that fill the room with life and color.”
Stern
Leading the ship on the stern for the first time ever is a Marvel character – Spider-Man! The larger-than-life sculpture will feature Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots who are “making a well-meant, if a bit haphazard, attempt at decorating the filigree on the back of the ship with their infamous spider webs,” according to Disney.
Disney Destiny Cruise Ship Staterooms
The Disney Destiny will feature 1,256 staterooms with four different room categories – Inside Staterooms, Oceanview Staterooms, Verandah Staterooms, and Concierge Staterooms. While each room type will differ in size and amenities, each will include:

Rotational Family Dining
Disney cruises are known for their rotational family dining experience and it will also be a feature of the Disney Destiny Cruise ship! The ship will feature three dining rooms that you rotate through during your voyage, visiting each dining room at least once during your trip. You’ll sit with the same people each night and your dining staff will rotate with you.
Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King
Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King will be a dinner theater-style dining experience featuring a cast of live musicians and storytellers presenting “a musical journey” through Disney’s The Lion King soundtrack as you dine. The dining room theming will immerse you in the African Savanna with lighting and special effects including windows that transform from sunrise to sunset as you dine. In the center will be a stage where you’ll hear the live cast recreate featured songs from the film including “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata,” a mash-up of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared,” and more.
Worlds of Marvel
Worlds of Marvel first made its debut on the Disney Wish and this immersive Marvel dining adventure is making its way to the Disney Destiny too! Throughout your meal, you’ll follow Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy as he brings you along for an on-screen adventure to throw a surprise party for Rocket Raccoon. Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Guardians of the Galaxy show without an “awesome mix” of songs. Plus, there will even be a trivia questions game to test your Marvel knowledge.
This show is different from the one seen on the Disney Wish, though guests may also experience the Avengers: Quantum Encounter on the Disney Destiny as well.
1923
Named after the founding year of Walt Disney Animation Studios, 1923 is a fine dining restaurant showcasing the history of Disney Animation. The upscale Hollywood theming of the restaurant surrounds guests with modern and classic Disney animated sketches featuring “storyboards, sketches and props recalling the heroes and villains of classic Disney animated movies.
Like the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, the menu here will highlight California flavors.
Adult-Only Dining
The Rose
While most bars and lounges welcome minors during the day and into the early evening, The Rose is the only lounge that is adults-only 24/7. It is located on the top deck and is a great place to stop for a pre- or post-dinner cocktail.
Palo Steakhouse
Palo Steakhouse is a new take on the iconic Palo restaurant aboard all Disney Cruise Line ships. The design of the space is inspired by Cogsworth from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast bringing elegance to the adults-only restaurant. It is open for brunch and dinner and features both Italian and modern steakhouse dishes.
Enchanté
Enchanté is the newest adult-only restaurant to the Disney Cruise Line and is available on all of the Wish Class ships. The theming is inspired by Lumière from The Beauty and The Beast and it features a gourmet menu created by three-Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement.
Casual Dining
Marceline Market
For a quick bite, Marceline Market is the place to go! This indoor food hall features multiple food stations with a wide variety of options to please even your pickiest eater. It will open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods
If you prefer to dine outside on the upper decks, Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods is your best option! Five character-inspired food stations can be found here including:

Cafes and Sweet Shops
Whether it’s caffeine or a sweet treat that you’re craving, there are several places to get your fix on the Disney Destiny! Just note that dining at these locations is an additional cost and is not included in your cruise.
Café Megara
Café Megara will be themed after Disney’s Hercules and will serve up some of the best coffee on the ship in the Grand Hall. Disney has described the design of the cafe as “Greco disco,” so we’re excited to see exactly what that means!
Café Merida
Café Merida will feature a “Celtic-centered” design inspired by – you guessed it – Merida! It will be a second walk-up cafe just off the Grand Hall.
Edna Á La Mode Sweets
Edna Á La Mode Sweets is a specialty dessert shop and confectionery that will be home to handmade gelato, cookies, ice cream, specialty, treats, and candy. The space will be themed after the Pixar Incredibles short film, Auntie Edna with Edna’s sewing equipment made into devices that churn out treats instead of clothes. To round out the fun theming, sculptures of Edna and Jack-Jack will be front and center inside.
Disney Destiny Cruise Ship Bars and Lounges
There are plenty of spaces to grab a cocktail or beer on the Disney Destiny with several adults-only spaces themed to some of your favorite Disney Parks attractions, Marvel characters, and Disney Villains. Note that minors are allowed in most of these spaces, though there may be times when entry is restricted to 21+.
Cask and Cannon
Cask and Cannon is the first Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar to be on a Disney cruise ship. Disney has said that the new pub will be “an eclectic yet cozy watering hole furnished with treasures ‘acquired’ (read: pillaged and pilfered) during the pirates’ many voyages around the globe.”
The menu will feature rare and specialty rums and a “selection of bootlegged” brews. Plus, there will be multiple TVs here showing your favorite game.
Haunted Mansion Parlor
The Haunted Mansion Parlor that is coming to the Disney Treasure will also be featured on the Disney Destiny! The space will be “reminiscent of a first-class drawing room from the classic cruise liners of the golden age” and will feature humor mixed with Disney’s “spooky storytelling.” While you sip on a selection of specialty cocktails created just for the lounge, you’ll watch as ghosts materialize.
De Vil’s Piano Lounge
Cruella De Vil is the inspiration for the piano bar on the Disney Destiny with tons of villainous details from both the original animated One Hundred and One Dalmatians and Cruella. Disney has shared that the space will have a “Hollywood Regency=inspired aesthetic” and the centerpiece of the lounge will be a Dalmatian-spotted piano with live performances every evening.
The menu here will feature martinis, cocktails, wines, and champagne.
The Sanctum
Inspired by Doctor Strange and his mystical arts, The Sanctum will be a centrally located lounge on the ship where you can enjoy live entertainment, coffees, and cocktails. There will be plenty of nods to the popular Marvel character including “mystical items designed to aid sorcerers in protecting the world” and “unique surprises from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum, including a circular mirror behind the bar that evokes the building’s iconic window.”
Disney Destiny Cruise Ship Onboard Activities
There’s a lot to do onboard the Disney Destiny so you’ll never have trouble finding something to keep you busy. From relaxing spas to pools to giant family obstacle courses and more, you’ll never be bored. Be sure to check the onboard activities for the locations and times of these activities.
Pool Activities
The Disney Destiny will feature ten pools, a body water slide, a Toy Story-themed splash pad, and a 760-foot-long water attraction — The Aquamouse!
The Aquamouse can be found on all of the Wish Class ships and each one has its own original short themed to that ship’s theming. And, with heroes vs. villains in mind, the Disney Destiny will feature four different shorts with one of them being “Sing a Silly Song.” As you make your way through the ups and downs of the water ride, Mickey and Minnie will lead you to the peak of Villain Mountain coming face to face with classic Disney villains including the Queen of Hearts, Chernabog, and Scar, The ride will feature an original soundtrack as well.
If you’re traveling with toddlers, you’ll want to check out the Toy Story Splash Zone. And, adults can enjoy a space just for them in the secluded Quiet Cove.
Broadway Style Theater Shows
The Walt Disney Theatre will be home to nightly live entertainment where you can see Broadway-style adaptations of some of your favorite Disney movies. Each evening there will be a different featured performance. Disney has confirmed that Disney Seas the Adventure (an original Disney Cruise Line musical production featuring Disney and Pixar characters) Frozen, A Musical Spectacular, and Hercules (a new musical production) will be performed on the Disney Destiny.
Hercules will be the only show exclusive to the Disney Destiny and will bring “the larger-than-life Characters, spirited comedy and legendary music from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film to the stage.” You can expect to hear all the famous music from the film paired with “stunning visuals and state-of-the-art projection effects” in this fresh retelling of the Disney classic.

Senses Spa
Whether you’re keeping up with your workout routine or you need a place to truly relax, Senses Spa offers both on the Disney Destiny! Traditional spa treatments will be available for booking along with the famous Rainforest Room which has grown in popularity since debuting on the Disney Wish. This indoor and outdoor area features heated lounges, an aromatherapy steam room, dry sauna, and calming pool.
In addition to the spa experiences, there will be a Senses Fitness gym where you can take advantage of state-of-the-art exercise equipment, Or, get your haircut, shave, manicure, or pedicure at Hook’s Barbery and the Untangled Salon.
Saga
Saga will be a two-story entertainment venue inspired by the architecture of Wakanda in Marvel’s Black Panther. It will be a “central hub for daytime family activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment.”
Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas
One of the coolest things about sailing with the Disney Cruise Line is that you’ll have the opportunity to catch first-run films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and more without having to hit your local theater. These movies will be available in the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas onboard the Disney Destiny.
Hero Zone
Decks 12 and 13 will be home to Hero Zone where families can find free-play sports and an elaborate Incredibles-themed obstacle course. Activities will vary from day to day in this space so you’ll want to check the onboard activities schedule to see when things like trivia, game shows, and more are being offered.
Character Meet-and-Greets
Of course, a Disney vacation wouldn’t be complete without the chance to meet some of your favorite characters. And, the Disney Destiny will certainly deliver on this! Throughout your cruise, you’ll find both good and bad Disney characters out to greet guests around the ship. Disney has confirmed that Maleficent, Hades, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, and Oogie Boogie will be onboard. Plus, Captain Jack Sparrow, Bruno from Encanto, Loki, and characters from The Lion King, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and Hercules will also be greeting guests.
Disney Destiny Cruise Ship Kids’ Clubs
Whether you’re traveling with infants, toddlers, children, tweens, or teens, there is a dedicated space onboard the Disney Destiny for them! Although these spaces typically welcome only kids (acting as your very own babysitter!), there are certain times when adults can join the fun too.
Throughout your cruise, there will be open houses in all these spaces during which parents can join their kids in using everything the kids’ clubs have to offer. Check the Navigator app for what times and spaces offer open houses throughout the day.
“It’s a small world” Nursery
“It’s a small world” Nursery is the babysitting service onboard the Disney Destiny. Inside, the littlest sailors can enjoy games, crafts, movies, books, and visits from Disney friends while under the care of Disney’s trained counselors.
Note that the nursery is the only kids’ space that isn’t free on the Disney Destiny and reservations are required. You can make reservations whenever your onboard booking window opens. Or, there are usually some dame day reservations available if you wait until you’re onboard.
Disney’s Oceaneer Club
Kids ages 3 to 10 are welcome inside Disney’s Oceaneer Club. This signature Disney Cruise Line space features multiple themed rooms for kids to enjoy including Marvel Super Hero Academy, Fairytale Hall, the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, Star Wars: Cargo Bay, and Mickey and Minnie’s Captain’s Deck.
