About Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

There’s just something about a cozy lodge that can make everyone feel at home, right? Located in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area, this Pacific Northwest-themed deluxe resort brings all the cozy vibes and will have you rocking by the fireplace — even in the heat of summer! Themed to highlight National Parks throughout the country, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge features a mix of wood, greenery, and rustic totem poles. In fact, stepping foot into the breathtaking lobby will have you questioning what state you’re in! And, there’s even a Fire Rock Geyser that erupts every hour on the hour from 7AM to 10PM daily!

Disney's Wilderness Lodge

Being a deluxe resort, you’ll find all the amenities that value and moderate resorts offer…and more! Deluxe resorts offer the highest quality in every aspect of all Disney resorts, which is why they are also the most expensive.

Though the resort grounds are smaller than many other Disney World resorts, don’t let that fool you. Wilderness Lodge has plenty to see, play, eat, and explore!

Accommodations

Not only is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge a deluxe resort, but it is also a Disney Vacation Club property! This means you will find your standard two queen or one king bedrooms, club-level rooms, multi-bedroom suites, AND even lakeside cabins!

Whispering Canyon Cafe

Whispering Canyon Cafe is a western eatery in the heart of the Wilderness Lodge lobby. This family restaurant offers all you care to enjoy skillets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and a selection of a la carte options. Breakfast skillets include housemade biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes, breakfast meats, and famous Mickey waffles, while lunch and dinner skillets include cornbread, ribs, brisket, pork, chicken, and vegetables. Geyser Point Bar & Grill

Next up, just past the pool, is Geyser Point Bar & Grill. This al fresco eatery provides some of the best views of Bay Lake, yet its rustic scenery and woodsy decor make you forget you’re in Orlando. You can’t make reservations here, but there is a walk-up list on the My Disney Experience App if there isn’t any immediate seating available. TVs surround the bar with your favorite sporting events, and the tables are cozy couches for peak relaxation. Bison burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, chicken wings, and more are on the menu.

Additionally, just outside Geyser Point is a walk-up window where guests can order to-go meals and drinks. This window also doubles as a poolside bar.

Storybook Dining at Artist Point

Story Book Dining at Artist Point is a character dining restaurant offering a unique dining experience that you can’t find anywhere else in Disney World. For dinner, guests can dine with Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and even the Evil Queen! This pre-fixe menu includes elevated items such as prime rib, slow braised pork shank, and poached fish. Be sure to try the Poison Apple for dessert—if you dare! Reservations are required through the My Disney Experience app.

The Boulder Ridge Cove Pool is the laid-back option of the two, with a whirlpool spa, a zero entry, and first come, first service shaded seating areas, similar to cabanas.

Evening Activities

The Wilderness Lodge Campfire is held nightly outside of Geyser Point Bar & Grill, and Movies Under the Stars takes place nightly outside Reunion Station. Additionally, every night, guests can watch the Electrical Water Pageant as the nighttime water parade passes directly in front of the resort on Bay Lake. You may even catch a view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks show while you’re there!

Other Activities

Outside of Reunion Station, guests can play pool, cornhole, and other outdoor games. And, fishing excursions are available on Bay Lake from the Wilderness Lodge Marina.

The Buttons and Bells Arcade and the Wilderness Lodge Mercantile are inside the main lobby. Plus, be sure to check out the resort scavenger hunt! You can pick up a map at the front desk and return the completed map for a prize.
